Center Similar a Wheel is the fifth solo studio anthology by Linda Ronstadt, released in November 1974. Her outset to reach the tiptop of the Billboard 200 and winning a Grammy Award, it is considered Ronstadt's breakthrough album.
It was Ronstadt's final anthology to be released by Capitol Records. At the fourth dimension of its recording, Ronstadt had already moved to Aviary Records and released her beginning album there; due to contractual obligations, though, Heart Like a Wheel was released by Capitol.[ii]

Center Like a Cycle became Ronstadt's kickoff album to hit the meridian spot on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and spent 4 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart in early 1975. "You're No Good," the beginning single release from the record company, reached number 1 on Billboard's Hot 100. A encompass of The Everly Brothers' "When Will I Be Loved" spent 2 weeks at number two on the Hot 100 in June 1975 and reached number i on the Cash Box Popular singles nautical chart and on the Hot Country Songs chart. Stephen Holden's 1975 review Rolling Rock described the title rails as "a masterpiece of writing and arrangement" and lauded the album's expansive repertoire, production and song choice.[9] The anthology's comprehend of Hank Williams'southward "I Can't Help Information technology (If I'm Still in Love with Yous)," peaked at number 2 on Billboard 's Hot Land Songs chart.[x]

Retrospective reviews of Heart Like a Wheel widely regard it as a loftier-bespeak in Ronstadt's oeuvre. In 1976, the album earned Ronstadt four nominations at the Grammy Awards. She won Best Country Vocal Functioning, Female for the track, "I Can't Help It If I'thou All the same In Love with You". She was also nominated for Album Of The Year and Best Pop Song Performance, Female person. Producer Peter Asher was amidst the nominees for Producer of the Twelvemonth.[12]
In 2006, CMT ranked "Heart Like a Bicycle" No. 34 on its list of the forty greatest albums in land music.[13] The album was ranked No. 490 on the September 22, 2020 edition of Rolling Stone'south 500 Greatest Albums of All Fourth dimension.[14]
Centre Like a Bicycle was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry in 2013 for existence "culturally, historically, or aesthetically important."[fifteen]
